Hello and welcome to our site. Thought you might like to know a little bit about us and why we created Crafters’ Row, a web site community for crafters and artisans.
We love arts and crafts! We’ve spent many a weekend strolling through juried fairs, flea markets and local festivals, and driving on studio tours. And we've never been disappointed — always finding unique, clever and beautiful creations.
Many times, we’ve seen something we liked, but just weren’t ready to make the purchase. We’d ask for a business card or for a web site address — and to our surprise, many artisans didn’t have either.
With 25 years marketing experience and five years building web sites, we knew that these crafters were “leaving money on the table,” as the saying goes. And not only money — but repeat customers.
We all know that craft fair junkies, like us, often browse through the fair.
We think about what we’ve seen.
We wonder how that painting would go in the living room.
Or if that vase was tall enough for that space on the shelf.
And maybe we bought something and later wished we’d bought another one as a gift.
We’d come home with regrets because we didn’t buy, and you’d pack up with regrets that you didn’t sell more. We both lost out.
And that’s how Crafters’ Row was born — out of our personal experience for wanting to get in touch with crafters again after the show. And we don’t think we’re unique in that need.
We also knew that crafters and artisans want to do what they do best — create. And that’s why we’ve made having a web page on the Internet simple — and affordable. And we should know. We design “regular” web sites for businesses, and we’ve done the research: many web designers charge anywhere from hundreds to $5,000 and more, depending on the complexity.
So now, when we see you at a show and ask, “Do you have a web site?” you can say, “Sure do.” And hand us your card that says: www.craftersrow.com/yourname. Now THAT would make us happy.
